New Years Resolutions

Ok, I'm been gone for almost 2 weeks from my blog. Between work, holidays and being sick I really had no time. This is my first time putting my resolutions down so they have to stick since they are in writing.

1.) Be a better mother (not get frustrated as much)
2.) Be a better wife (try to not neglect my husband so much)
3.) Get my house in order (it is a mess and I really need to tackle each room at a time)
4.) Stop spending. This past year has been crazy with my clothing purchases for my kiddos and especially Christmas.
5.) Lose weight - I would like to eat healthier and exercise (lose it the old fashioned way)
6.) Spend more time with my mother (I love her to pieces)
7.) Find another job (This is all dependent on the job market out there)
8.) Put more effort into my blog (but not to neglect my family or work)
9.) Get our house SOLD!!!!!!!!

Ok, is it ok that I have 9 resolutions? I really think they are doable but will just take some time.

Glade Sense & Spray

A few weeks ago I posted that I was a bzzagent and was testing the product Glade Sense & Spray. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this product. It is a battery powered automatic spraying air-freshener that is motion activated. It sprays when a movement is made upon the sensor from up to five feet away. It locks for 30 minutes after spraying to conserve the amount of refill you are using. If you happen to need an extra burst of freshness, you can press the override button on the front of the unit at any time. Be careful not to be standing with your face above it or you could get a shot in the eye (I'm speaking from experience)

The second greatest thing about this product is the scent. I was given the Clear Springs scent and it has a fresh, not flowerly smell just a nice scent. I was trying to figure out the best place to put this so it was out of the way of little hands (my kids) so I thought in the bathroom on the washing machine. They can't reach up that high and what better place to have it then the bathroom. I love that when I walk in it goes off. Sometimes this can be a high traffic area and will go spray a scent every 30 mins but it's not overwhelming in anyway. I love the fact that the scent is not constantly coming out to overload you with it.

This product is conveniently located at almost every store - from CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, etc and there are always sales and great coupons out for it. I recommend that you run out right away and get yourself one - it's worth it. Prices are around $8.99 but if you find them on sale even better!!

If you register with Rite Aid and watch all of the qualifing videos you can print coupons. You can combine these coupons with manu Q at Rite Aid BUT I plan to use the $5 off 2 coupon for Centrum Vitamins at CVS this week. My CVS takes competitor coupons and there is a great deal this week on them giving you $10 ecb when you purchase $20 of various products including Centrum (see my CVS posting down further). Yes, I have been taking vitamins and hate, hate, hate them so I'm hoping that the Centrum ones will be better!

Sense & Spray BuzzAgent

I've been selected again to be an agent for Glade Sense & Spray. I have not opened it up yet to start testing it out but I will this weekend. It is suppose to automatically spray fragrance into the area when the sensor detects motion. I love this idea, i just hope that I like the scent that they provided me with - mine is Clean Linen. The good thing about this is that you can press the boost button at anytime for it to spray. Other scents are Apple Cinnamon, Country Garden, Powder Fresh, Hawaiian Breeze and Clear Springs. From reading the packet, you can also set the spray to just sit there and not repond to motion and for you to spray it whenever you want, which I like too. I would hate to have this thing be too strong and keep spraying. I'll keep you posted after the weekend and let you know my thoughts on it!

Budget Update - Eck!

So, I have $129 left of the budget (12 days) which is scary because both of our cars hold about $40 to fill. Plus, I have not purchased my glasses YET! I did go to a place to look at styles and they are definitely cheaper out there than the places I have gone to in the past. I won't be able to find my Gucci glasses there but I think I'll be ok! :) Also, another b-day coming up so I think we'll be going over the budget by a little this month. I think the overall budget concept is great. It is really making me think about every single purchase I make and trying to justify each one realistically. I'm not a frivolous spender and I buy all of my things on sale and with coupons but I do like to shop for my kids clothes and I spend a lot on the chiropractor and massage therapy for my health (which is my justification).

Covergirl Outlast Lipstain

Last month I posted that I was a Bzzagent and received the product Outlast Lipstain by Covergirl. See my posting HERE. I have tested this product out several times and I have finally decided to post my opinion. First off, the concept of this product is to have the lipstain stay on for hours without coming off without the heavy look or feel of regular lipstick. Secondly it's suppose to condition and smooth lips. Well, here are my thoughts on the product - I really, really wanted to LOVE this!

Pro's - I like the idea of the marker concept and how to put it on. It does last a long time and doesn't have that heavy look at all plus it smells terrific, almost fruit like. That is it for the Pro's.
Con's - It is really too dry. I didn't find that the lipstain is conditioning my lips at all, more like drying them out. I chose the color # 415 which is Teasing Blush and it is really dark. Blushes, pinks and mauves look good with my fair skin but this is too dark. I had to dab and rub some of it off just to get it where I don't look like a clown. After looking at the other color selections I don't see a single one that would work for me. Also, it is too pricey $8.99 for this - NO THANK YOU!

Ok, so after this weekends b-day lunch we have $240.00 left for the month. I have decided I'm going to hit Walmart today and see what their selection of glasses look like - at the most they might cost me $250 that is lenses included but I'll have to see if they have a some what decent pair since I wear my glasses at night and on weekends a lot. That takes me over the budget completely and we still need groceries and another b-day coming up on the 23rd. Oh NO is right!!! I might try to drag the glasses purchase out until later in the month so it doesn't hit this month but either way I need them. Oh, what to do!

One Month's Budget

We give ourselves $1,500 a month for a budget. Some might think this is a lot and it might be for some but for me it's not - I love to shop, especially for the kids. We use our credit card for EVERYTHING so this includes gas for our cars, groceries, clothes, take out, birthdays, etc. I just started keeping track of it so I can impress my hubby and really stay at $1,500 (which I never do). Our credit card statements ends on 7/24 so I'm starting the tracking from 7/25 to 8/24. I can't believe it, we are only 10 days into the month and we are at $553.17 and that doesn't include my Gap purchase and dinner from Friday night. Oh no! We got the cat groomed so that took a big chunk out of it. Oh no!!!!!! Follow me during my month long budget crunch! I hope my hubby is reading this and knows that I'm serious.

Bzzagent.com is a website dedicated to advertising using word of mouth. Companies give them free products to give out to their “agents”, who in turn use the products and tell all their friends and families about the products. With each campaign that you join, you get your free products and usually some coupons to hand out to friends and family, and are expected to write at least 2 “bzz reports”, or descriptions of how you spread the word about the products. For each report you submit you get points added to your mypoints account which can be redeemed for gift certificates from a large variety of stores and restaurants. You can also get points from doing other things on the website such as filling out short surveys and visiting “frogponds”, "bzzscapes" or other websites and giving your opinions of them.

This is my 3rd Bzz campaign that I have been on and I love it! As soon as I get my package in the mail I open it right away to see what it is. This time I got the Covergil Outlast Lipstain BzzCampaign. YES - MAKEUP!!! I'll bzz about the lipstain when I have tried it.
